Lead Engineer, managing a team of back-end engineers, designing, building and launching core search engine, auto-complete server, social-media systems and database servers from ground-up. Implementing cutting-edge clustering, personalization and topic-identification algorithms.

  • Built support for Clicker's "check-in" and "awards" product, which allows users to check-in to videos they are watching and win awards based on accumulated actions/statistics.
  • Engineered and co-designed back-end services for Clicker's Social project, which includes user-following, comments, reviews and recommendation actions, playlist building and full user-profile history.
  • Provide search/database support for iPhone and Android mobile applications.
  • Developed back-end support for Clicker's Boxee application which received wide-acclaim from such notable sources as Lifehacker, CNet and TechCrunch.
  • Built core search engine and auto-complete engine, indexing over 400,000 full-length episodes, from over 7,000 shows across 1,200 content sources around the web, including a comprehensive index of Netflix and Amazon's video-on-demand content.

Software Engineer III
Designed, modified, developed, wrote and implemented software programming applications.  Participated in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.  Led and directed the work of other developers.
  • Built vertical-search domain product in record time which was quickly promoted to top priority, with an approximated user-search gain of 2-4 million per day.
  • Redesigned main database production system that reduced turnaround from a few weeks to a day's time.
  • Designed a service-oriented interface package for editorial data analysis that reduced the turnaround time from days to hours.  Created a unified format which drastically reduced overall time spent by editors, as well as human-error.
  • Automated hourly log-processing system, virtually removing this task from the daily routines of two separate departments.
  • Implemented and deveoloped online-documentation environment for use of vital, proprietary libraries.  This environment is crucial to the efficiency and reliability of core, internal applications.
